ive broken four bones. not at once, but ive broken my left arm three times and just recently got out of the cast for a broken leg. the leg was the worst.
Aah that sux and the hole season :O must be really boring! Poor you
But hmm the bright side of the story is that you ll enjoy the next season even more! ;)
But it sux ofcourse
I was hitting a natural knoll that puts you a good 10 feet up in the air for the umpteenth time in my life and this one time it bit back. In the air I got pushed off axis and went cork with my shoulder straight into the ground, better that than my head. The impact pushed my shoulder all the way in to the rest of my body with a level five dislocation. I know, I now... It doesn't go that high, but that is how bad the surgeon said it was. I ripped all three of my Acromioclavicular ligaments after I got served.
My shoulder blade dropped and my collar bone went straight up with nothing to hold them together. After the hit I sat up and said; "Hmm... that hurt." But tried to convince my self nothing was wrong. I even got up and continued riding down the hill, don't worry Buck Hill is not that big.
Once I got to the bottom of the run, I was heading to Ski Patrol, I bent over to unbuckle and my arm didn't move the way I wanted it to. There was no pulley system left in my shoulder, everything was loose spaghetti in my shoulder. At that point I had to admit that something was wrong. So I calmly walked in and asked for assistance where I quickly fell into shock and was whisked off to ER. Amazing what the body will do to survive by pumping enough adrenalin in to itself to get it to safety.
The surgeon shaved a quarter inch off of my collar bone and shoved it back into my shoulder blade, drilled a hole at the end of each bone next to each other and tied them together through the holes with a hamstring tendon taken from my left leg.
Two six inch titanium pins screwed into the bone, skewered through the meat of my arm and sticking out of my shoulder for six weeks and six months of physical therapy and 3 years later I can touch the sky with both arms, almost like nothing ever happened. Still riding today with almost no thought of my shoulder at all.
A cool looking four inch scar proves it all happened. How you like them apples?
I have the X-Ray somewhere; I should scan it and up the picture here.

I got a bloody nose once and a few scrapes after been takin out by a skier. The worst I seen was a mate of mine, first time snowboarder on hols in Soll. Not that great at boarding dislocated his shoulder after he fell on an icey part, me and a few mates sat round him while he was been treated and couldn't stop laughin(some mates I know, just was one a them situations), still laugh about it to this day!

I've hit my head 3 times while snowboarding. Two of them were probably minor concussions but I didn't go to the doctor. The 3 one, which happened about a month ago, I was going off a jump and I was kinda sideways and unbalanced. I got up in the air, and started falling forward. I landed on my face. I got whiplash and cuts all over my face.
