shralpers! This is a though one:
Would you rather have some advertising (we did some little testing already) or would you rather pay a small sum for shralp!?
Currently you all enjoy shralp! for free and as you might guess producing and distributing shralp! costs us quite some money.
I would love to have an open discussion with you, which would help making shralp! the way you enjoy it best.
THX mee-z
But I also think it's a good thing that shralp! stay free, i really love shralp! but I also like some other podcast and i couldn't pay for all the podcast I like.
I would want advertising.
It wouldn'd be that bad if you had adds related to snowboarding on heer; infact it might be cool.
I wouldn't subscribe to this: I'm on a tight budget.
All the best stuff is free.
Personally I'd like to know what has changed. It is understandable that it costs you quite some money to make the podcast but you were doing it for free before without advertising? Have production and distribution costs risen?
@ Paul
Thanks for that question. Hope I can answer this in a satisfying way:
We are doing shralp! for free and pay the bills from our pockets. We were always trying to get some money back. Not to live from, but to pay these bills.
Actually it isn't very easy to get (good) advertisers into a format like shralp! We had offers for terrible, cheesy advertising for extremely little money. But we are not that desperate.
If we have a serious offer for advertising, with a reasonable format and pricing, will will accept. This will help to sustain shralp!
Thx for watching shralp!
Well, firstly, I'd probably prefer some advertising, it's a hassle to have to sign up to pay for things, even if they are worth it. And it would hurt shralps publicity if it werent free..
I was just wondering though, What volume does shralp have. ~ How many times is an episode downloaded? If it were a larger amount it seems it would be easier to find a decent advertiser. and if not... then we should help raise peoples awareness of shralp, cuz it obviously kicks ass.
THX for your support David. Raising awareness is always welcomed ;)
For all who are curious: Currently we guarantee 30,000 downloads but we had episodes in February and March that were downloaded more than 60,000 times!
BTW good luck with your company!
